CPC (Cost per Click) Logic was founded in 2003 as an offshoot of NewCars.com to serve the online automotive vertical. Our founder, programmer Martin Schmitt, has been active in the online automotive space since 1996.

One day, Mr. Schmitt realized that, despite all the advances made in search engine technology, as much money was being thrown away as was being made. No one was helping companies avoid the pitfalls of campaign management and maximize revenue. |

To fill that void, he developed a technology to automate and optimize search engine campaigns. During a 10-month testing phase of the software, NewCars.com’s monthly revenue grew from U.S. $8,910 to U.S. $539,100. The company’s monthly profit jumped from U.S. $5,485 to U.S. $240,000. |
In July 2005, NewCars.com/CPC Logic was purchased by Cars.com, a division of Classified Ventures. |
